Gateway Arch on the riverfront in Downtown St. Louis. Take a ride to the top of this 630ft landmark and see an amazing view of St. Louis . Afterwards, take an educational stroll throught the Lewis and Clark museum below the Arch. The Missouri History Museum (Jefferson Memorial Building) in Forest Park is sitting in the north entrance of the park. Built 1911-1913, this beautiful St. Louis landmark was the first national monument to President Thomas Jefferson. The museum has an extensive look at Missouri's history which showcases some amazing memorabilia. Check out the west wing which currently houses The 1904 World' Fair: Looking Back at Looking Forward, an exceptional exhibition marking the centennial of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. The Saint Louis Art Museum , located in Forest Park at #1 Fine Arts Drive (314-721-0072), is one of the finest museums in America. The Museum's roots are in the 1904 World's Fair, so special attention is given to American art. The Museum's collection of ancient art includes Assyrian, Coptic, Egyptian, Greek, Iranian, Islamic, Near Eastern, Persian, Roman, and Syrian works. From art to photography, you can find it on display. There are many events scheduled for the family, such as Ford Family Sundays (free), that has hands-on activities, gallery games, and performances designed to engage visitors of all ages. >Steinberg Skating Rink, located on the East side of Forest Park near Kingshighway (314-367-RINK), is St. Louis winter tradition. Skaters of all ages and skill levels enjoy this unique ice skating experience during the day and at night you can forget that your in a major metropolitan city as you circle the rink underneath the stars in the cool winter air. Hungry or you just want to rest and warm up? The Steinberg Café offers a menu that includes appetizers, snacks, sandwiches, burgers and pizza. Beer and wine are available. On Fridays and Saturdays, bands and DJs are ready to entertain from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, from November through March, depending on the weather.

>Sugar Creek Winery and Vineyards is located in Defiance, Missouri just off of scenic highway 94 at 125 Boone Country Lane. This hillside winery sits above the Katy Trail and overlooks an amazing view of the Missouri River Valley. Proprietors Ken and Becky Miller have created an atmosphere that is very relaxing and is wonderful place to enjoy your favorite Sugar Creek wine along with cheese, crackers, and sausages. You can even bring a picnic basket of your own. Every week-end from April through October, Sugar Creek offers live music from their gazebo. Features include: complimentary tasting, winery tours, outdoor seating, gourmet food items, banquet facilities, and is open year round.
