Review: Girl groups and the 60’s go hand in hand. Join Effie White, Deena Jones, and Lorrell Robinson as they bill themselves as The Dreamettes and travel from Chicago to the Apollo Theater in New York City to compete in a talent show. Do they win? As the girls cross from R&B over to the pop-music scene changes are made that affect the very heart and “soul” of the group.
