Review: Pete Garrison (Michael
Douglas) is a top dog in the Secret Service. Having been with the
Service for decades, he now protects the First Family. Following an
accusation that he is involved in an assignation plot against the
President, he flees his post in an attempt to prove his innocence.
The meat of the plot is in the pursuit. As his underlings purse him,
Pete pulls out all the stops and uses his advanced training to elude
his fellow agents and manages to get the “bad guys.”
Director Clark Johnson cranks out a fast-paced thriller that will
keep you rooting for Pete Garrison right up to the film’s
predictable conclusion. Exhausting chase scenes and some heavy acting
produce light entertainment, but not a profound film.
