Review: Animation at its best!
Boog (Martin Lawrence), a pet grizzly bear, and his new buddy, Elliot
(Ashton Kutcher), a mule-dear are stuck in the woods together just
as hunting season begins. Neither is very savvy when it comes to survival
skills. When the hunters come there is no time to learn the ways of
the forest alone, so they employ an army of experts to keep themselves
and their woodsy friends safe.
Don’t expect to hear many hunters cheering in the audience as
they are not portrayed in a good light. Their leader, Shaw (Gary Sinise),
is an ugly critter bent on getting Elliot, and later going after all
the furry forest inhabitants. Fortunately they team up, and with their
collective intelligences, manage to level the playing field.
Can a 900 lb. grizzly find happiness in the big, scary forest? Both
young and old alike will enjoy finding out. Warning: The action tends
to be pretty rough on the bunnies.
