Review: Garfield (Bill Murray)
and Odie hide out in the luggage to follow their love-struck owner,
Jon (Brecklin Meyer), to England. At the heart of the story is the
coincidence that Garfield is a dead ringer for a very wealthy cat,
named Prince, who has recently inherited a fortune. Sort of a “Prince
and the Pauper” plot plays out until identities finally get
straightened out. Plenty of high drama for the youngsters, as the
evil Lord Dargis plots to gain the family fortune.
Cute, but not cute enough or clever enough to entertain the adults
is the audience. A few clever tidbits are just not enough to carry
the show for anyone over 10 years old. Mildly amusing, but it's
certainly not purr-fect!
