Join in the fun! The Loop Ice Carnival will celebrate winter in The Loop in University City from 10 am to 6 pm along Delmar from Kingsland to the Wabash Station. Parking is available on municipal lots, in the garage across from the Tivoli, behind The Pageant and on side streets. With sponsorship from Red Bull and the beautiful poster and flyer created by Kiku Obata & Company, The Loop Ice Carnival will feature the following activities:
- 5-K Frozen Buns Run: from 10 a.m. Registration information at www.stlouistriclub.com.
- Chili Cook-off outside Market in The Loop: Noon to 4 p.m.
- Winter Hat Contest outside Market in The Loop: 2 p.m.
- Big Air demo sponsored by Red Bull, featuring extreme snow boarders: 3 p.m. behind Pin-Up Bowl
- Box Feature sponsored by Red Bull for local snow boarders 18 years old or younger with parental permission/attendance
- Snowball Throwing booths at Market in The Loop & across the street from The Pageant: Noon
- Human Dog Sled Races: 3 p.m. in front of The Pageant
- S-mores Roast/Kiln demonstrations at Craft Alliance: 1-3 p.m.
- Ice Slide & Ice Maze for Children at Westgate between Ziezo & Blueberry Hill: 11 a.m.
- Ice Breaker - Test your strength by taking two swings at the huge ice block
- Ice Sculpture Carving demonstration by Ice Visions in Fitz’s parking lot
- Trolley Car open for visitors: Noon to 4 p.m.
- Photos with Ice Polar Bear and Penguin with your camera
- Live Music at nightclubs after 6 p.m.
